Product Overview
The Trek Precaliber 16 Freewheel is an excellent first pedal bike for young children ready to discover the freedom and excitement of cycling. Designed with safety, comfort and ease of use in mind, this 16-inch children's bicycle combines Trek's dependable build quality with practical features that make learning to ride easier and more enjoyable.

Its lightweight aluminium frame is easy for smaller riders to handle, while the rigid steel fork provides durable and predictable steering. The single-speed drivetrain keeps things simple, allowing children to focus on developing their balance, coordination and pedalling technique. Unlike coaster-brake models, the Freewheel version features traditional hand-operated linear-pull brakes, helping children learn the braking skills they will use on larger bicycles.

The Precaliber 16 Freewheel includes removable stabilisers that provide additional support during those first cycling adventures. As confidence improves, the stabilisers can be removed without tools, making the transition to independent riding straightforward. A cleverly integrated handle beneath the padded saddle also allows parents to offer guidance and reassurance when needed.

Finished in attractive Buff Beige, the Trek Precaliber 16 Freewheel is a fantastic choice for children taking their first steps towards independent cycling. Whether practising in the garden, riding around the park or enjoying family outings, this durable and thoughtfully designed kids' bike makes every adventure more enjoyable.

Care & Notes
Regularly check tyre pressures, brakes, wheel fixings and chain condition to ensure safe and reliable performance. Keep the drivetrain clean and lightly lubricated, particularly after riding in wet conditions. Check that the saddle and handlebars are correctly adjusted as your child grows, and ensure that stabilisers are securely fitted when in use. A correctly fitted cycling helmet is strongly recommended. Adult supervision is advised for young riders. Rider height is a more reliable guide to sizing than age alone. Exact component specifications may vary depending on production availability and manufacturer updates.
